FRIDAY IS FOREVER
Update pt. 2
Thursday, August 18, 2011

So I just came back from careers day. Apparently, appearance doesn't matter (beauty is only skin deep), because I ended up arriving in a large, orange fleece blanket. Oh, well!

I ended up having to drag around a rather large bag full of about 13 books all from different universities, mostly specializing in Commerce, Sciences, and a couple of Undergraduate Prospectus. But whatever.

I'm considering to apply for a scholarship to my country's/city's state University - University of Auckland. It's ranked #68 in the world, and it doesn't seem too flash, but that makes it in the 1% of the best uni's in the world. Pretty darn snazzy if you ask me, seeing as there are over 7500+ universities in the world right now.

I think I'm a little too young to be worrying about university and things like that, but I guess it's better safe than sorry, amirite?

I guess I'm going to be a little OCD with this for the time being, but maybe it's just a phase that'll pass with time. Regardless, I'm worried sick about career options and I'm scared about failing the NZQA tests (I live in Auckland, New Zealand).

But, overall, careers day was pretty good and I learnt a lot about University (eg: how to apply, be accepted and enroll, choosing possible career plans etc) so I know I shouldn't be this worried but I can't help it! I'm only, what, fifteen? Teachers and parents put a lot of pressure on a girl who still orders the Happy Meal at McDonalds.

But hey. I got a free pen.
